This personal concierge service helps you get anything you want via SMS

A local team has launched Blitz, a fuss-free concierge service that allows customers to get anything they want via SMS.

Blitz dispenses with dedicated websites or mobile apps and customers send in their requests by simply dropping an SMS message to Blitz. They can even expect to receive a response within 60 seconds.

The team behind Blitz has had a combined 10 years of experience at hotel and members-only concierges, so the service is a natural extension of their abilities. According to Blitz, the team’s collective experience is unique among professional concierges in Asia, which are often manned by call center staff or untrained workers.

Blitz operates round the clock, and can help you with mundane things like buying groceries, booking a part-time cleaner, or even securing a restaurant booking at 6pm on a Friday night. It’s even up to more complex requests, like purchasing the Aka-e wristwatch from Hermes, of which only 12 have been produced (yes, this is a real request).

Each request comes with a service fee of S$5, but Blitz may tack on an additional 10% charge on top of the total bill if the task is especially complex. Blitz has already been operating for a week, and it says it has averaged about 50 requests a day, the majority of which concern daily tasks like laundry pick-up and cracked iPhone screen repairs.

When it’s time to pay, Blitz will send you a secure link through SMS or email for you to enter your credit card details. Payment is done via PayPal, and Blitz will provide a breakdown of individual charges and fees for you.

To contact Blitz, just drop them an SMS at 8692 6789. Sounds like a dream? It certainly does! Just don’t ask them to do anything illegal, or ask for a pet dragon.
