Canon today announces the latest additions to the LASER SHOT Series of printers - the LASER SHOT LBP6000 and LBP6750dn.
With faster print speeds, lower operating costs and enhanced built-in connectivity, these new and improved monochrome laser printers showcase Canon’s constant pursuit of excellence in printing with high performance printers that meet the evolving demands of dynamic small to medium sized businesses.
The LBP6750dn combines a compact, space-saving design with speed and functionality, making it Canon’s flagship black-and-white printer. Featuring Canon’s UFR-II (Ultra Fast Rendering) technology that distributes data processing loads between printer and computer, the LBP6750dn is capable of printing monochrome A4-sized documents at a blazing speed of 40 pages per minute (ppm) with a First Print Out Time (FPOT) of 7.5 seconds. On top of its impressive print speed, the LBP6750dn comes equipped with full auto duplex print capability, enabling greater efficiency by printing double-sided documents.
The flagship device will integrate effortlessly into the office environment through its built-in network interface and PCL5e, PCL6, PostScript Level 3 Emulation (Optional) print language compatibility. The optional wireless function also allows it to be securely connected to a Wireless Network for even greater convenience and choice.
An easy-to-use, five-line LCD display panel and intuitive operator interface provide clear, concise information to the user.
The LBP6750dn is equipped with a built-in network interface for convenient printer sharing among multiple users. With the Remote User Interface, administrators can monitor toner status and change printer settings easily via any web browser. This option also ensures that the printer can be shared with several users, reducing running costs.
With a fast print speed of 18 pages per minute (ppm) for monochrome A4-sized documents, the new LASER SHOT printer will also be an asset to any office. It takes just 10 seconds or less to warm up from powering on and features an amazing 7.8 second-long for the first page to print (FPOT: First Print Out Time).
The secret to the LBP6000’s speed is a result of the unique CAPT3.0 (Canon Advanced Printing Technology) printing system, where the file size of a print job is compressed on the computer before it is sent to the printer. This enables the printer to operate efficiently with 2MB of RAM, eliminating the need for memory upgrades.
Incorporating Canon’s unique Automatic Image Refinement technology, users can be confident of documents with sharp, clear text and graphics at a print resolution of up to 2400 x 600 dpi. Furthermore, the Magnetic Spherical (MS) Toner has been specifically developed to deliver high quality monochrome images and text.
The LBP6750dn features two optional 500-sheet cassette feeders, in addition to the existing 100-sheet multipurpose tray and a 500-sheet standard cassette for a paper supply totalling of 1,600 sheets, removing the need to reload paper trays constantly.
This high-capacity paper feeder feature enables the printer to handle even the heaviest workloads with utmost convenience. To provide users with additional printing options, different paper stocks, weights and sizes, including envelopes, A6-sized and even barcode printing can also be selected in order to run consecutive printing jobs without halting production. The LASER SHOT LBP6000 comes equipped with a 150-sheet paper tray, including a retractable paper tray cover which helps to save space.
The LASER SHOT LBP6000 and LBP6750dn come with an All-in-One toner cartridge for easy user management, capable of printing up to 1,600 pages and 12,500 pages (A4/ISO standard) respectively to maximise productivity. The recyclable toner cartridge also reduces the amount of wastage and maintenance worries.
The use of Canon’s On-Demand Fixing technology enables low-power consumption with the LBP6000 and LBP6750dn printers, using only 1.3W and 2W of power in sleep mode respectively. Furthermore, both the LBP6000 and the LBP6750dn have one of the lowest Typical Energy Consumption (TEC1) ratings for printers, consuming only 0.54kWh/week and 2.0kWh/week respectively.
The new Canon LASER SHOT LBP6000 and LBP6750dn will be available from end November at authorised Canon dealers at S$179 and S$1,339 respectively.
