Panasonic's 65-inch 4K UHDTV is Ready for HDMI 2.0; 55-inch OLED Panel Spotted Again at IFA 2013

Another TV manufacturer making headlines at IFA 2013 this week is Panasonic, with its 65-inch 4K UHDTV (model number: TX-L65WT600). This is the first 4K TV to support the new HDMI 2.0 spec's provision for 4K 50/60p input out of the box.

This THX 4K-certified UHDTV also sports 2000Hz BLS Intelligent Frame Creation 4K tech that allows it to reproduce 50fps images at 100fps, swiping and sharing of 4K photos from mobile devices, DisplayPort 1.2a connectivity for connecting video editing devices or PCs to the TV, a 4K Hexa-processing Engine for upscaling non-4K content, and Local Dimming Pro.

For this part of the word, the TX-L65WT600 is set for release by the end of September, and is priced at £5,499.

55-inch 4K OLED Panel

Panasonic's 55-inch 4K OLED panel has again made an appearance at IFA 2013. This is likely made by a printing method revealed to us earlier this year. This is a prototype of course, since it's known that Panasonic won't be mass producing OLED panels for at least another two years.
