Panasonic Debuts Digital Cameras Including Lumix DMC-G5 and DMC-LX7

Panasonic has announced a string of digital cameras including the Lumix DMC-G5 and the DMC-LX7.

Lumix DMC-G5

A Digital Single Lens Mirrorless (DSLM) camera, the G5 houses a 16.05-megapixel Live MOS sensor along with the Venus Engine, and has the ability to record 1920 x 1080p Full HD videos. Advanced AF system including practical full-time AF and tracking AF is available in video recording so that every photographer can enjoy high quality video recording with minimum ease. In addition to multi-capable shooting assist function iA(Intelligent Auto) Plus mode, the Scene Guide is available for beginners to pick up photography easily.

Lumix G Vario 45-150 mm / F4.0-5.6 ASPH. / Mega O.I.S.

Offering a versatile zoom range of 45-150mm (90-300mm in 35mm camera equivalent), the Lumix G Vario 45-150 mm / F4.0-5.6 ASPH. / Mega O.I.S. lens is a new telephoto zoom interchangeable lens for DSLM Lumix G that complies with the Micro Four Thirds System standard. Incorporating Panasonic's Mega O.I.S., the lens is makes it easy to shoot distinct shots even under low-lit conditions by suppressing the blur caused by hand shake. The inclusion of stepping motor makes the focusing action smooth and silent for use in both photo and video recording.

Lumix DMC-LX7 - Featuring LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMILUX Lens with F1.4 - F2.3 Full-range Brightness

The new DMC-LX7 is fully re-designed in the lens, the image sensor and the image processing engine together with other improvements and upgrades. The newly developed Leica DC Vario-Summilux lens features F1.4-F2.3 outstanding brightness at 24-90mm versatile zoom range (35mm camera equivalent).

Panasonic's Black Box Nano Surface Coating technology minimizes light reflection causing ghost and flare, which helps boasting realistic images, while the newly developed 10.1-megapixel high sensitivity MOS Sensor achieves the expansion of dynamic range by increasing the sensitivity and the saturation. Capable of recording 1920 x 1080 Full HD videos, the compact camera is ideal for professionals and amateurs.

Lumix DMC-FZ60

Packing a powerful 24x optical zoom (25-600mm in 35mm camera equivalent) and superior controllability including manual operation over photo and 1920 x 1080 Full HD video recording, the 16.1-megapixel FZ60 incorporates a 25mm ultra wide-angle Leica DC Vario-Elmarit lens with Panasonic’s Black Box Nano Surface Coating technology minimizing light reflection which causes ghost and flare. The FZ60 enables easy capture of spur-of-the-moment in impressive photo and video both outdoor and indoor.

Lumix DMC-FZ200

With 25mm ultra wide angle 24x powerful optical zoom, the 12.1-megapixel FZ200 features full range F2.8 aperture (25-600mm in 35mm camera equivalent). Also integrated is the Black Box Nano Surface Coating technology that decreases light reflection, along with the advanced Venus Engine image processor which allows for high speed response and high quality images even in high sensitivity recording. The camera also has the ability to record 1920 x 1080 Full HD videos.

Lumix DMC-LZ20

Equipped with a 16-megapixel high resolution CCD and advanced LSI image processing, the LZ20 comes with a powerful 25mm ultra wide angle 21x optical zoom (25-525mm in 35mm camera equivalent). It also features an ergonomically studied body design that offers a stable grip for comfort over extended hours of usage.

Lumix SZ5

Incorporating Wi-Fi connectivity in a slim, stylish profile, the 14.1-megapixel SZ5 allows users to save images on the personal folder of Panasonic's cloud service Lumix Club and share them in major Social Networking Services conveniently. The 25mm ultra wide angle 10x optical zoom (25-250mm in 35mm camera equivalent) Leica DC Vario-Elmar lens is capable of shooting dynamic landscapes with its wide angle of view and capturing subject up close with its powerful zooming. In addition, 720p HD videos can be recorded in MP4 format which has a high compatibility with smartphone or other portable electronic devices.
