Opera Max, the most popular Android data management and data saving app, has rolled out its latest 3.0 version. In a nutshell, Android users will see an all new interface with a new data savings feature for Facebook.

The new interface is simplified to show useful tips in the form of cards which are contextual to the users' data usage. For example, the tip cards will guide users through the most efficient methods to manage their data usage and maximize data savings. It also warns the users on external security threats and provide data encryption to ensure the protection of personal information when surfing on public Wi-Fi networks.

If you're surfing Facebook via Opera Max's Facebook web app, you can save up to 50% of your data plan thanks to its new powerful data savings feature "Savings for Facebook". It can be placed as a shortcut on the home screen.

Other social media apps can benefit from Opera Max's data savings feature. Based on data from 78 million monthly active users of Opera Max, the average data savings on popular social media apps are estimated to be 60% for Instagram, 50% for Pinterest, and 40% for LINE, BBM and Zalo.
