OnePlus' in-house OxygenOS slated for 12th February unveiling
To date, OnePlus has shipped most of its phones, like its flagship OnePlus One, with CyanogenMod OS as the stock OS. That looks to change however, as the company has just announced that it will be unveiling a custom built in-house Android-based OS called OxygenOS, on 12th February.
The name of the OS was chosen via a contest on OnePlus' official forums, with user midifire, credited with the winning entry.
Details are scarce right now, but in a post on its official forums, OnePlus admin Bradon H promises the OS to be "open, customizable, and free of bloat and unnecessary features." Furthermore, Bradon stated that, like the OnePlus One phone, the OS will deliver a "bold, powerful, straight-forward experience."
Stay tuned for more information on 12th February.
