OnePlus has confirmed the last official spec of its OnePlus 2 before the product launch on 27th July. It will come with a whopping 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM!

The company goes a step further and explains the rationale behind using LPDDR4. It states that the OnePlus 2 will benefit from lower power consumption which in turn will lead to better battery efficiency.

In addition, the OnePlus 2 will get double the bandwidth performance at the same power consumption profile when compared to LPDDR3. It also delivers optimal support for power-saving low frequency mode which brings clock speeds down when using the OnePlus 2.

This puts the OnePlus 2 at an advantage over the ASUS ZenFone 2 (ZE551ML) which has 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM. Other official specs of the OnePlus 2 includes an improved Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor (v2.1), USB Type-C port, a fingerprint sensor that unlocks "faster than Touch ID" and a retail price of below US$450.
