OneDrive now offers unlimited cloud storage to Office 365 subscribers

Free accounts remain at 15GB; but if you're an Office 365 customer, you get unlimited OneDrive storage.

Microsoft has just announced that starting today, it’s giving its Office 365 customers unlimited OneDrive cloud storage for free. Applicable to Office 365 Home, Personal, and University subscribers, this move came just four months after the company raised the storage capacity for Office 365 users to 1TB.

For business customers, Microsoft says that OneDrive for Business (which is a separate product) will see its storage increase again come 2015. Free accounts remain at 15GB, by the way.

By providing unlimited cloud storage, Microsoft has effectively turned a product into a feature. We've no doubt too that this will increase Office 365 adoption. In fact, at S$9.80/month (or S$98/year) for Office 365 Personal, which now comes with unlimited OneDrive storage, Microsoft now has the best cloud storage deal in town. Well played, Microsoft.
