Olympus Stylus Tough TG-2 & TG-630 Announced at CES 2013

Olympus has announced the Olympus Stylus Tough TG-2 & TG-630 at the CES 2013.

As successor of TG-1, TG-2 comes with advanced waterproof capability up to a depth of 15m, drop/shockproof capability up to a height of 2.1m, freezeproof capability up to temperatures as low as -10 degrees Celsius, and crushproof capability up to 100kgf. Equipped with a high-speed, large-diameter f2.0 lens and in combination with iHS Technology, high image quality is ensured even when shooting in dark environments. It also includes various features for outdoor shooting, like the Super Macro mode for approaching within 1cm of the subject, Assist GPS for high-speed acquisition of positioning data, and an electronic compass.

With a 12-megapixel high-sensitivity, high-speed CMOS sensor, the TG-630 offers waterproof capability up to a depth of 5m, drop/shockproof capability up to a height of 1.5m, and freezeproof capability up to temperatures as low as -10 degrees Celsius. Incorporating the iHS Technology with the TruePic image processor, high sensitivity, and low noise image quality can be achieved.

The Olympus Stylus Tough TG-2 is available in Black and Red from end January 2013 onwards at S$568.
The Olympus Stylus Tough TG-630 is available in Black, White, Red, and Blue from end January 2013 onwards at S$328.
