An alleged official photo/rendered image of the upcoming Sony Ericsson Nozomi has emerged, according to both GSMArena and PhoneArena. The Android smartphone is said to come with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and 1 GB of RAM. If that's true, the Nozomi will be the first dual-core Android smartphone from Sony Ericsson, making it a late contender in a saturated and robust dual-core smartphone segment, and a step behind those pushing towards quad-core handsets (1) (2). If the rumors stand true, it will also be one of the first smartphones to come with the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS out of the box (the Samsung Galaxy Nexus being the first). Sadly, there's no way to confirm either the authenticity of the photo or its actual list of specs so stay tuned: details will be hashed out before its rumored launch during Mobile World Congress in February next year.
