Office add-ins coming to Office 2016 for Mac

At Build 2016, Microsoft has announced that Office add-ins are coming to Office 2016 for Mac this spring.

For those unaware, an Office add-in is an installed functionality that adds new functions or features to Office apps. Now, these Office add-ins, that already work on the Office for Windows desktop apps, iPad apps, and online, will work on Office client apps for the Mac. This is further progress of Microsoft’s aim to enable developers reach their user base on whatever device they prefer, and the goal to offer the same great experiences everywhere seamlessly.

Other new stuff at Build 2016 for Office developers include the expansion of capabilities of the Microsoft Graph and several ways to build native solutions in Office. You can check this Office Dev Center blog post for more details.
