NVIDIA's GeForce Release 256 Drivers now WHQL Certified

NVIDIA's release 256 drivers,  which brings along major improvements, not only in graphics performance, but also support for features like 3D Blu-ray playback and OpenGL 4.0 for GeForce GTX 400 series GPUs, have been certified by Microsoft. Which means that the drivers, which have been in beta for around three weeks now, are official and known as 257.21. You can download them at NVIDIA's website, and there are also updated release 256 drivers for those on notebooks.

Tech Report - Three weeks after offering a public beta of its release-256 graphics drivers, Nvidia has gotten the stamp of approval from Microsoft's Windows Hardware Quality Labs and put up a completed version. The WHQL-certified GeForce 257.21 drivers are available now for Windows 7 and Vista x86, Windows 7 and Vista x64, Windows XP x86, and Windows XP x64.
