Initially, the NVIDIA Shield was able to stream games from the PC onto to the device itself. Now, with the updated GameStream technology, you are able to enjoy the NVIDIA Shield gaming experience, even if you are away from home, with the device’s support for remote game streaming.

Even if your PC is powered off, the NVIDIA Shield is able to remotely wake it up, to access the system. Prior to the software updates, Shield was only able to support 720p streaming; now, it has been updated to Full HD resolution. Therefore, keyboard and mouse games like World of WarCraft, Civilization V, and League of Legends can be streamed to a HDTV for immersive gaming experiences. Last of all, the Shield’s OS will be upgraded to Android 4.4.2, KitKat. The over-the-air update will be slated for delivery on April 2. As an added incentive, the price of NVIDIA Shield has been reduced to US$199 to make owning it more appealing.
