NVIDIA Officially Launches GTX Titan Z; Add-In Card Partners Offering their Wares Now

NVIDIA has launched the GTX Titan Z graphics card officially. Currently, there are three vendors who are offering this dual-GPU graphics card in limited quantities.

First off the blocks is ASUS with their GTX Titan Z, which is on sale now for a princely sum of S$4,699. Besides featuring a pair of Kepler GPUs, and each has a base clock of 705MHz, with a boost clock speed of 876MHz. The card also boasts of 12GB of GDDR5 video memory, with a 768-bit wide interface that is shared equally between the two GPUs. In terms of video connectivity options, there are a pair of dual-link DVI connectors, one DisplayPort port, and a HDMI port. As usual, the card comes bundled with GPU Tweak for real-time performance tuning on the Windows desktop.

Gigabyte has announced GV-NTITANZD5-12GD-B, while Zotac has also announced GeForce GTX Titan Z Both cards’ specifications don’t deviate from the official NVIDIA specifications for the GTX Titan Z. According to a product manager we spoke to, it is highly unlikely that there will be a GTX Titan Z card that sports a custom cooling system due to restrictions imposed by NVIDIA. The NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan Z was first unveiled in March at GTC 2014.
