Nokia Lumia 925 is Official: Slimmer Aluminum Body & New Nokia Smart Camera Mode

Nokia has announced their brand new flagship Windows Phone smartphone. The Lumia 925 has an aluminium frame, is slimmer and lighter than the Lumia 920, has the same 8.7MP PureView camera and comes with a new Nokia Smart Camera mode.

The Lumia 925 has an aluminum frame which runs around the body, while the rear is made from polycarbonate and the front of glass. The Lumia 925 is slimmer than the 920, it has a width of 8.5mm and weighs 139 grams, in comparison to the 920's thick 10.7mm and 185 grams. The Lumia 925 comes with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and a 4.5" OLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 768. The 925 has the same 8.7MP PureView camera as the 920, with optical image stabilization and dual-LED flash. 

Nokia is introducing a new Nokia Smart Camera mode with the Lumia 925, which will come as an update to all Lumia Windows Phone 8 smartphones and can be set as the default camera. Nokia Smart Camera can capture ten images at once, and can let users blur, remove or alter background subjects.

The Lumia 925 will be available only in grey and black colors, but Nokia is making red, yellow, black and white sleeves which can attach to the rear of the device. You'll also need these sleeves if you want to use the Lumia 925 with Nokia's wireless charging accessories.

The Nokia Lumia 925 will be available in the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain and China in June, followed by the US and a number of other markets, the launch date in Singapore has not yet been announced. Nokia will price the Lumia 925 at 469 euros (S$754.87 at today's exchange rates) in Europe, country-specific pricing will be announced locally.
