Nokia E71 and E66 Gets Free Ovi Maps Navigation

Nokia E71 and E66 Gets Free Ovi Maps Navigation

When Nokia made the announcement in bringing free navigation to its devices with Ovi Maps, it was a quick response to Google's own offering for its Google Maps on its Nexus One. Now, the Finnish company has just added more devices that supports its free navigation, namely the Nokia E71 and Nokia E66. To enjoy free navigation with Ovi Maps on Nokia E71 and Nokia E66 devices, take note of the following steps:

  1. Download the new Ovi Maps application from nokia.com/maps to your PC
  2. Install the application using Ovi Suite to your device
  3. Go to applications folder and start using Ovi Maps

Beware though, if you initiate the navigation feature without doing the above, you will be prompted to fork out 9.99 EUR for a one year navigation license of 9.99 EUR. Wondering if this free navigation will be available on the Nokia N900 that just reached our shores? According to Nokia, that's a no for now, but don't dismiss the possibility. Because when the competition heats up, anything can happen.
