Nikon COOLPIX S1100pj
With the release of the COOLPIX S1000pj, the world's first digital camera with a built-in projector, in October 2009, Nikon proposed new ways to enjoy a digital camera with the ability to project and share images captured with the camera. In August 2010, Nikon introduce the new COOLPIX S1100pj, an effective 14.1 megapixels compact camera with a wide-angle 5x optical zoom NIKKOR lens which responds even better to the needs of users of projector-equipped digital cameras. By increasing projection brightness by 40% (as compared to COOLPIX S1000pj), projection become larger and clearer, up to a distance of 2.4m or a display size of 47-inch. In addition, adoption of a 3-inch TFT LCD resistive touch panel monitor enables intuitive camera operation. The coolest feature about the COOLPIX S1100pj is that it also supports projection of computer data when connected to a computer3, increasing the ways in which the built-in projector may be used for both personal and business application. New user interface with graphic tabs displays setting control information in the monitor to make functions selection simple.

Rating function also allows user to rate pictures with up to five stars and then sort and display pictures according to their rating. User are able to edit images, without using a computer, by applying the “Glamour retouch” using the 6 filter effects – color options, soft, selective color, cross screen, fisheye and miniature effect. With 3 background music options and 4 image effects, the camera offers a variety of slide show effects. Operation of the supplied remote control which has been improved can now be used to switch to projector mode or play a slide show. The New ViewNX 2 software is also bundled with the COOLPIX S1100pj. With its brighter and clearer projection, simpler operation and support for a broader range of applications, the COOLPIX S1100pj continues to offer the necessary camera functions for recording still images and movies. It is the one innovative model that proposes new ways to enjoy a digital camera with the ability to record and immediately share memories and lasting impressions anywhere and anytime.
