Now that Steve Jobs has quit being Apple CEO, will we still be able to once again experience industry leading products that ignite the imagination?

I mean the man did give us the iPad, the iPhone, and the MacBook Air right?

But then again we did get some duds from Apple as well, which we have conveniently forgotten, just as they should be.

Today, rumors are getting louder and louder about an Apple produced Television.

Not the Apple TV , but an Apple branded, actual flat screen television which you use to watch... television.

According to PC World, Apple seems to be working on a television that would be connected to the Internet. Great stuff, just like Google TV right? We know how well that did.

PC World however, did mention that Apple has always been restricted by display technology, citing the iPad example.

Steve Jobs had plans for the iPad as far back as 2000, but high costs of technology meant that tablets made can't be priced practically.

So could Apple, now under Tim Cook be able to pull off the re-introduction of the much loved television? Let's hope so.

And because of the array of devices that Apple has now, and the new direction in which OSX Lion is heading, we can only imagine what the Apple television will be like. Touch screen enabled, running on the mobile OS looking Lion? That does sound kinda fun doesn't it?
