New Speedy Buffalo DriveStation Features Two SSD Drives and Two Thunderbolt Ports

Buffalo has launched its fastest portable storage device - the DriveStation Mini Thunderbolt SSD edition (SSD-WAT).

Featuring two SSD drives and two Thunderbolt ports, the new storage device offers more than double the interface transfer speeds as compared to the regular Thunderbolt SSD drive, and at least four times faster than USB 3.0. Its read and write speeds exceed 760MBps and 615MBps respectively, so you get to transfer up to 800MB of data (which is the equivalent of 1,000 photos) in a mere 1.3 seconds.

Also, the DriveStation Mini Thunderbolt SSD is pre-formatted for use with Mac OS X and supports the daisy-chain function, allowing users to connect up to six Thunderbolt devices, without reducing performance.

The SSD-WAT is backed by a three-year warranty.
