With the new Singtel Music, you can now stream to your heart's content!

This morning, we were at the official launch of Singtel Music. It’s touted to be the first service in Singapore to offer streaming music without local data charges. For a start, Singtel Music has tied up with four streaming service providers, i.e., Spotify, KKBOX, AMPed, and MeRadio. This service is currently only for postpaid Singtel mobile customers.

To fully enjoy Singtel Music, you need to add its service to your mobile plan for a recurring monthly fee in order to get a premium account from one of three streaming music service providers mentioned above. On top of this chosen premium account, you also get to enjoy streaming content from the 13 local MeRadio stations. Of course, the sweet cherry on top of this delectable deal is the fact that your immersive music experience is free from any local data charges! For payment, you are free to choose from a 12-month contract plan, which costs S$7.90 per month, or one that charges a monthly subscription fee of S$9.90, sans contract. The charges will be added to your monthly Singtel bill.

Singtel Music was literally launched with a bang as the representatives from Singtel and its music content partners were on deck to kick off this data-free streaming service. At the demonstration booths, we also saw the latest Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, which were used to showcase the premium services of Singtel Music. We asked Singtel if this service would be expanded to a family package as we are familiar with Spotify Family. The company was mum on details; however, they will definitely look into evolving the Singtel Music service for better customer experience. For more details, do here over to Singtel Music.
