Research in Motion has plans to release seven BlackBerry devices by the end of the year, some of which have made its debut such as the BlackBerry Bold 9900 at the recent CommunicAsia 2011. Meanwhile, as part of its BlackBerry 7 Fan Night, the company has announced that there'll be new BlackBerry devices running on its latest BlackBerry 7 OS via its Twitter account. Details are still lacking at the moment.
While the Bold 9900 has made quite a few appearances, we aren't ruling out the possibility of an official announcement detailing its availability and retail price. On the other hand, there are some who are speculating that the company will reveal the BlackBerry Torch 2.
Regardless, it's been a while since RIM has shipped any new devices. With a net income loss and a layoff of 2,000 employees in coming, the company is in desperate need for a device to turn the tide in its favor.
