The New Amazon Dash Makes Quick Work of Grocery Shopping

The Amazon Dash is a Wi-Fi enabled barcode scanner that allows you to scan barcodes of household items, namely groceries and popular household goods. It then builds a shopping list on your AmazonFresh account. Simply log into your AmazonFresh account to finalize the list, and AmazonFresh will fulfil the order after payment. All you need to do is to connect Dash to your home's Wi-Fi network, and start scanning.

According to Amazon, the Dash is a hardy and easy to use device. With it, even young household members can help with ordering groceries. The device even has voice recognition technology, allowing you to order items by speaking into it. The aim of Amazon Dash is to help customers plan their grocery shopping.

From TV set-top boxes to cloud computing services, Amazon is permeating many aspects of the life of an end-consumer. The Amazon Dash is another way the company is harvesting customers’ data so that it can streamline the entire online shopping experience of the end consumer. The Amazon Dash is currently in closed beta testing to select AmazonFresh customers residing in California, United States. Please click here for more information on the Amazon Dash.
