Rumors are rife that Apple will update its 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display and 27-inch iMac this week.

It is unclear that this point what upgrades the new MacBook Pro and iMac will get, but one can certainly expect the refreshed models to sport Intel's new quad-core Broadwell mobile processors. Intel announced new Broadwell processors earlier this year at CES 2015, but those were all dual-core parts, which were unsuitable for the 15-inch MacBook Pro and iMac.

Some reports also suggest that the 15-inch MacBook Pro could get Apple's new Force Touch trackpad as well as updated GPUs, presumably from NVIDIA's new GTX 900M series.
