NEC Asia Pacific has today launched a new M3 projector series boasting very low cost of ownership and advanced multimedia features. An upgrade from the current M2 series, the new models also sport advanced networking capabilities, including support for the 5GHz wireless band and simultaneous display from PCs, Macs, or mobile devices.

Ideal for use in classroom and mid-sized meeting room environments, these new DLP projectors - the 3200-lumen M323X/M323W; 3600-lumen M363X/M363W; and the 4000-lumen M403X/M403W and M403H - have a long 1.7x optical zoom lens that enables higher flexibility during installation. There’s also horizontal and vertical keystone correction for additional placement versatility. While most of these beamers sport either an XGA or a WXGA resolution, there’s also a full HD model, which is the M403H.

Advanced connectivity is offered through an integrated Simple Access Point function, which enables multiple devices to connect to the projector without the need for an additional router. This allows users to send content and audio wirelessly from their notebooks, tablets, or smartphones using NEC’s free Image Express Utility Lite (works with both Windows and Mac operating systems) or Wireless Image Utility (available for both iOS and Android). Furthermore, the new M3 series has a Multi-screen Projection function to allow sharing screens from multiple devices on various split-screen displays. Display contents from up to 16 network connected devices can be projected on the same screen.

Other features of the new M3 series projectors include a large number of input terminals, including two HDMI ports with 3D support and two USB inputs. There’s also a jack for connecting to an external mic and a 20W speaker.

The new M series projectors are now available at the following prices:
