Singapore – D-Link today announced the availability of a premium app, mydlink+, which follows on from the success of mydlink, the remote home monitoring service by D-Link. Designed especially for iPad and Android tablets, the mydlink+ app now makes it possible for users to watch high quality footage from up to four network cameras at one time (1 live view, 3 snapshots). The app is available to download from iTunes and Android Market.
The new app is optimised for the iPad or Android tablet and allows users to view any of their mydlink-enabled camera feeds, anywhere they have Wi-Fi or 3G access. It makes it easy to save snapshots of your choice to a tablet, to switch between different cameras with the built-in monitoring dashboard, and for the first time see four feeds on the same screen (1 live view, 3 snapshots).
In addition to the new mydlink+ app, the mydlink service can also be accessed via the existing free mydlink lite app. mydlink lite lets users watch live footage and take snapshots from a single mydlink-enabled camera, and is available for major mobile platforms including iPhones, Android smartphones and iPads.
Until recently consumers who wanted a home monitoring solution needed advanced technical knowledge to navigate the complexities involved in setting up a network camera. With mydlink, users have a simple and convenient way to keep an eye on the things that matter to them most, whether it’s a pet, a baby in the nursery or even just to check in on their home for peace of mind. User can use the setup wizard to detect mydlink compatible cameras and quickly and easily configure them onto a network, allowing for convenient access to your video feeds from wherever there is Internet access.
