MSI has a new flagship graphics card and it is called the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Lightning Z.

It follows the age-old recipe of taking NVIDIA’s flagship GPU chip and then mixing it with loads of high-end components and then topping it off with a large cooler.

Here, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Lightning Z features a triple-fan custom cooler with TORX 2.0 fans with advanced airflow technology. It also has Military Class 4 components that include Hi-C Caps, capacitors from Japan, and Super Ferrite Chokes. It also has three 8-pin power connectors.

The baseplate features customizable RGB lighting. Note also the three 8-pin power connectors.

It features NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 1080 Ti GPU and 11GB of GDDR5X memory. There are three operating modes: Silent, Gaming, and Lightning. Clockspeeds and memory speeds for the three modes are as follows:

MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Lightning Z Clockspeeds
Mode Core clockspeeds Memory clockspeeds
Silent 1480MHz / 1582MHz (boost) 11,016MHz DDR
Gaming 1582MHz / 1695MHz (boost) 11,120MHz DDR
Lightning 1607MHz / 1721MHz (boost) 11,120MHz DDR

Video output connectivity comes in the form of two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, two HDMI 2.0 ports, and a single dual-link DVI.

It also has a customizable base plate with RGB lighting that can be configured to display over 16 million different colors.
