The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 and 1080 are pretty much every gamer's dream, so it's really no surprise that add-in card partners are going all out to make the cards better (and milk them for all they are worth) with custom versions of their own. On MSI's end, the company has already announced no fewer than eight different versions of both the GeForce GTX 1070 and 1080, but it's not even done yet. It has now unveiled the GeForce GTX 1070 and 1080 Sea Hawk EK X cards, which come with pre-installed EKWB water blocks to cater to enthusiasts who want to go the custom liquid-cooling route.

Both cards utilize a dual-slot design and will ship with full-cover nickel-plated electrolytic copper water blocks from EKWB, featuring the latter's usual split flow design that cools the GPU and VRMs equally. The top of the block is made from see-through, acrylic glass, the better to show off the fluid flow through the card and the MSI dragon insignia. EKWB even added the MSI logo next to its own toward the rear of the block.

To cap it all off, the Sea Hawk EK X cards will also come with a matte black backplate with – you guessed it – another MSI dragon emblazoned on it.

As would be expected of cards built for liquid-cooling, and by extension overclocking, they both come with fairly aggressive factory overclocks. The GeForce GTX 1070 Sea Hawk EK X features a 1,607MHz base clock and 1,797MHz boost clock in OC mode, while the 1080 has a 1,708MHz base clock and 1,847MHz boost clock. They also boast an additional 6-pin PCIe power connector (on top of the original 8-pin one) for greater overclocking headroom.

Finally, the cards are equipped with the same selection of display connectors as their Founders Edition counterparts, to the tune of one HDMI, one dual-link DVI-D. and three DisplayPort connectors.

There is no word yet on pricing and availability.
