MSI outs new notebook line-up at Computex 2015

MSI has unveiled a new range of gaming and entertainment notebooks at Computex 2015. These new machines will boast new hardware and features like the upcoming Intel fifth-generation Broadwell Core i7 processors, Nahimic Sound Technology and NVIDIA G-Sync.

The MSI GT72 incorporates the best that mobile graphics has to offer. It features a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M graphics card with 8GB of GDDR5 video memory, which also brings support for the newly-announced implementation of NVIDIA G-Sync on laptops. NVIDIA's G-Sync variable refresh rate technology helps minimize stutter and screen tearing, ensuring that gamers can now enjoy the same smooth gameplay that was previously the prerogative of G-Sync on desktop systems.

MSI also appears to be updating its GT80 2QE Titan SLI gaming notebook with fifth-generation Intel Core processors. Equipped with two NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M cards in SLI and a built-in mechanical keyboard, the GT80 2QE Titan SLI is the definition of over-the-top performance.

While audio quality is often an area that is lacking on notebooks, the MSI GS60/70 and GE62/72 notebooks will feature Nahimic sound technology, a high-definition sound technology that purports to boost the audio and voice performance of notebooks.

Originally used in the military and aeronautics industry, Nahimic sound technology brings support for features like virtual surround sound, a frequency leveller, bass boost, and voice clarity enhancement, so the new GS- and GE-series notebooks should enjoy more immersive virtual sound and enhanced sound quality.

Furthermore, the GS- and GE-series notebooks will feature a range of graphics solutions which include the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M, 960M, 965M and 970M. The more powerful models like the MSI GE62 2QF Apache Pro will also have the new Intel fifth-generation processors on board, while models like the GE70 2QD Apache will have Intel fourth-generation processors.

The MSI GS60 Red and GS70 Silver are also being used in partnership with Square Enix for the launch of Final Fantasy Type-0, the latest in the Final Fantasy series of role-playing games.

MSI has decided to channel the power of modern computing and graphics hardware into a line of notebooks targeted at professional content creators. Many notebooks suffer from poorly calibrated displays that make them unsuitable for professional image and video editing, but MSI aims to rectify this with its new Prestige series PE60/70 and PX60 notebooks.

Prestige series notebooks feature MSI’s True Color Technology, which aims to deliver true-to-life colors and close to 100% sRGB displays. The new notebooks will be powered by Intel fifth-generation quad-core processors and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M or 960M graphics cards.
In addition, they will also feature the Nahimic sound technology found on the GS and GE series of notebooks.
