MSI Announces Full Range of AMD FM2+ Motherboards with Military Class IV Components

MSI has just announced its full range of AMD FM2+ motherboards that feature Military Class IV components. These boards not only support the new Steamroller core Kaveri APUs, they are also backward compatible with older FM2 Richland and Kabini APUs.

The AMD FM2+ boards are as follows:-

A88X Chipset

  • A88X-G43
  • A88X-G41 PC Mate
  • A88XM-E45
  • A88XM-E35

A78 Chipset

  • A78-G41 PC Mate
  • A78M-E45
  • A78M-E35

A55 Chipset

  • A55-G41 PC Mate
  • A55M-E35

Besides the military-grade components, the new MSI boards also feature OC Genie 4 for easy overclocking. Power users will be pleased to know the boards' have an updated UEFI BIOS utility, Click BIOS 4, which has an accompanying desktop application, the MSI Control Center. In terms of video connectivity options, the FM2+ boards feature an onboard HDMI 1.4 connector that is capable of driving an Ultra HD or 4K display, courtesy of the Kaveri APU's on-die Radeon Graphics Core Next (GCN) graphics engine block.  Please head over here for the official press release from MSI.
