Motorola Takes a Swipe at Apple with Superbowl Teaser Ad

Motorola hasn't been shying away in its attacks against its competitors. Before CES 2011 started early this year, Motorola made a show of its tablet's advantage over both the Apple iPad and Samsung Galaxy Tab. And just before the Superbowl commences, it's tossing out another ad that targets how Apple hasn't changed, sticking to "one authority, one design, and one way to work".

All Things Digital - In a Super Bowl teaser ad posted to YouTube on Monday, Motorola pitches its forthcoming Xoom tablet as an alternative to Apple’s iPad.
“2011 looks a lot like 1984,” Motorola says in the ad, which features an image of the Earth surrounded by Apple’s white headphones. “One authority. One design. One way to work. It’s time for more choices.”

Is Motorola doing a smoke and mirrors tactic, or will its Motorola Xoom tablet really give all the other tablets something to worry about? We'll know more when the Xoom makes itself available, so in the meantime, check out how Motorola takes a swipe at Apple in the video below.
