Motorola has just released its Android 4.0 upgrade schedule for its devices in different regions.
According to its forum post, the Motorola Xoom (Wi-Fi) and Razr smartphone will be receiving the Android 4.0 update in Q2 2012, followed by the Xoom 2 tablet in Q3. There is no time frame as to when the update will be available for the Xoom (Wi-Fi + 3G) model.
To help its users understand the upgrade development cycle better, Motorola also posted a detailed explanation of the different phases. For example, the Development phase represents the development of the software upgrade for the particular device. In this phase, the company will provide an estimated calendar quarter for its availability but caution users that the date and development activities are still subjected to changes.
