Motorola introduces Motorola FLIPOUT and Motorola CHARM in Singapore
Both smartphones have truly unique form-factors and combine touch screen and keypad capabilities with innovative and compact designs
SINGAPORE, 22 October 2010 – Motorola Mobility Inc., a subsidiary of Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) today announced the launch of two new Android™ smartphones: the Motorola FLIPOUTTM and Motorola CHARMTM in Singapore. The two stylish smartphones pack a punch with unique form-factors and innovative features.
While FLIPOUT™ features an innovative square pivot design that slides to reveal a five-row QWERTY keypad with a separate row for numeric keys, CHARM™’s BACKTRACKTM touch panel on the reverse of the phone allows users to smoothly navigate, scroll and make selections without obstructing the display screen with their fingers.

Fully equipped to enhance busy lifestyles, the new devices from Motorola will delight those who expect their social experiences to be effortless and intuitive. Imagine being allowed to have up to eight browser windows open at once, with easy switching between windows and the ability to continue with other tasks while the browsers run in the background. Socialising also becomes a breeze, with pre-loaded applications that sync to popular social networking sites such as Facebook® and Myspace®.
With seven homescreen panels, FLIPOUT™ and CHARM™ can be personalised with live wallpapers, customizable widgets of live content, and new toggle widgets for On/Off shortcuts to WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth® and more. Widgets such as Calendar, Photo and Sticky Note can also be resized to suit a chosen homescreen layout.
For music fans, the devices’ connected media player offers full screen lyric support and integrated song ID. Album artwork is also synchronized instantly as a song is being played. The music dashboard gives one interface to browse and play your stored music, as well as stream Internet and FM radio stations. Song recommendations can also be shared with friends via SMS.
Consumers get greater control over their device’s power consumption with a choice of battery profiles that best suit usage habits.
