Motorola Google Smartphone Said to Be a "Game Changer"

The Motorola Razr Maxx has the longest battery life among all the smartphones we've reviewed so far. Will the Motorola X Phone best its record?

It is about six years since Apple revolutionized the phone industry with the iPhone, and if Australian electronics site SmartHouse's sources are accurate, Google and Motorola will be leading the next breakthrough this year.

According to its sources, Telstra Chief Technology Officer, Hugh Bradlow apparently told senior mobile staff that the upcoming Motorola X Phone will be a "game changer". The phone is expected to be a "real breakthrough" with features and capabilities not seen on any smartphones today.

"Google has been working on this device for a long time. It has software features and capabilities that are not available on a Samsung Galaxy smartphone or Apple iPhone. The software is really powerful and it pulls together Google services like no other manufacturer has done in the past," a reliable source told SmartHouse.

The Motorola X Phone is reported to be unveiled at Google I/O 2013 in May, and hit retail shelves in July. Previously, one forum member of DroidLife alleged that the device will be sold at all four U.S  telcos on 8 July at similar price points as the LG Nexus 4 on Google Play Store. Besides the X Phone, Google and Motorola are also said to be working on a X tablet.
