This Morgan Freeman Portrait on the iPad Isn’t a Photo, It’s Finger-painted

You may have heard of people saying that the Apple iPad isn't just a content consumption device, but a darn good content creation device as well. And if you need further proof, take a look at this super-realistic and I-can’t-believe-it’s-not-photoshopped portrait of Morgan Freeman that British artist Kyle Lambert has done on his iPad Air. This fruit of labor took over 200 hours and involved more than 285,000 digital brushstrokes. The process is captured on video and we’ve embedded it below. For inspiring artists, his app of choice is Procreate, an Apple Design Award winner.

Of course, this isn’t the first time we saw amazing works of art being created on the iPad, and it certainly won’t be the last. In fact, over at Lambert’s YouTube channel, you can see many of his other digital paintings. That said, this Morgan Freeman portrait is by far his best due to the sheer amount of details.
