More Information on Upcoming HTC 8X, 8S and 8V WP8 Devices
If you are looking to get a WP8 device, keep your eyes peeled. So far, there's the Samsung ATIV S and the Nokia Lumia 920 and the Lumia 820. With HTC gearing up to announce 3 more WP8 devices in the 3rd week of September, we now have a total of six WP8 devices within the span of a month.
The family is said to come with the HTC 8 moniker and will follow the naming convention of the letters in the Android-powered One family. The flagship device (Zenith) will be called HTC 8X, the mid-range Accord, 8S, and last but not least, the entry-level Rio will be named HTC 8V. We already have information on most of its specs, but here's more to tantalize those planning to get one:
HTC 8X (Zenith)
- 4.7-inch Super LCD2 screen with HD (1280×720) resolution
- Dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor (of unknown model)
- 8-megapixel camera
- NFC support
- 42Mbps HSPA+
HTC 8S (Accord)
- 4.3-inch Super LCD screen with HD (1280x720) resolution
- 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 processor
- 8-megapixel camera
- 8 and 16GB storage options
- microSD card support
- 42Mbps HSPA+
HTC 8V (Rio)
- 4-inch display with WVGA resolution
- Dual-core Snapdragon S4 MSM8227 processor
- 5-megapixel camera
- 512MB of RAM
- 14.4Mbps HSPA
If you noticed, the 8X and 8S are very similar in terms of specs, save for the NFC support and bigger screen on the former. Of course, if you are a big fan of Beats Audio, all three devices are said to come with it.
