Monitors from Samsung at CES 2013

We've already seen a slew of monitors released by HP at CES 2013. Now Samsung has also joined the fray and introduced some of their own competitors. While HP may have been focusing on trying to bring IPS technology to the masses at an affordable price point, Samsung has taken a different tact. Their new products have brilliant design and one of them even features touch capabilities making it excellent for use with the new Windows 8 operating system from Microsoft.

Series 7 Touch SC770 - Touch-Sensitive Monitor

The Series 7 Touch SC770 is Samsung's first multi-touch display. It supports up to 10 points of simultaneous touch and allows users to drag, rotate or select objects using their fingers. Needless to say this makes it perfect for the touch enabled Windows 8 OS.

With respect to design, the prodcut has an ultra-thin bezel and offers up to 60 degrees of tilt which allows for comfortable usage of the panel. Screen size is 24 inches and visuals are displayed in Full HD 1080p resolution.

Series7 SC750 - Ergonomic Design

The Series 7 SC750 monitor sports a slim, ergonomic design that is capable of a 90-degree pivot for enhanced convenience to users. This simple and straightforward product is optimized for surfing the web and viewing documents in both landscape and portrait modes.

It offers 27 inches of screen real estate and delivers visuals in full HD. The monitor’s sleek stand precisely positions the screen at a comfortable eye-level without the need for a support fixture. It must also be added that the cylinder-shaped metal stand also accentuates the beauty of the slim monitor. Displaying ultra-sharp images, the SC750 monitor touts a 5,000:1 contrast ratio.

Both monitors are expected to be released in the first quarter of 2013. You can find full details regarding the models in the table below.
