Microsoft's Xbox One Elite controller is releasing soon!

The controller comes with a nifty carrying case, which also doubles as a place to store the unused parts.

When Microsoft announced that they were releasing a premium controller that would retail for US$150, everybody thought that it was an insanely ballsy move. Who would buy such an expensive controller? It turned out that most gamers would, especially after they got their hands on the device. Pretty soon, most retailers in the US either sold out or ran low on the initial allocations and it was only recently that the Xbox One Elite controller became readily available again.

It's not hard to see why hardcore gamers are in love with the controller. We've had one for a couple of weeks now and we can easily say that Microsoft has created one of the best controllers ever.

The Xbox One Elite controller comes with everything you see in the picture above. Two d-pad covers, three analog stick styles and four different pedals to slot in behind the controller. It also comes with a braided mini-USB charging cable and a storage case where you can stash all the unused parts. If you're a fan of fighting games and play on a controller, getting the Xbox One Elite controller is a must simply due to the excellent curved d-pad. Trust us, once you use it, you'll never want to go back to a normal d-pad ever again.

Salivating yet?

The good news is that the controller is launching this Friday, the 5th of February at a retail price of $194.90. That's actually about $20 cheaper than buying the controller online and importing it from the US.
