Microsoft's true flagship phone to be called Surface Mobile?

The one or two hardware surprises at Microsoft's rumored event in October may be about its true flagship smartphone.

According to wmpoweruser, Microsoft's next flagship smartphone is the Surface Mobile which is known internally as the Project Juggernaut Alpha. The Surface Mobile reportedly has specs that are a notch higher than the Lumia 950 and 950 XL:

  • 5.5-inch AMOLED ClearBlack Quad-HD display with Gorilla Glass 4
  • Intel Atom x3 (SoFIA) 64-bit processor
  • Up to 4GB (3GB for the base model, 4GB for the higher-end model)
  • Windows 10 Mobile 
  • 21-megapixel PureView rear camera with 6-lens
  • 8-megapixel wide-angle front-facing camera
  • 64GB and 128GB internal storage options with microSD expansion up to 256GB
  • Surface Pen
  • USB Type-C port
  • Wireless charging 
  • Aluminum and magnesium chassis

The Surface Mobile is said to be available towards the end of the year or early 2016. Will the Surface Mobile help Microsoft gain more market share?
