Microsoft is Updating Built-in Apps for Windows 8 All the Way to Oct 26 Launch

If you’re an MSDN or a TechNet subscriber running the RTM version of Windows 8, remember to check the Windows Store for updates to the built-in Modern-style apps. Yes, the Redmond software giant is still hard at work to polish things up further even as the October 26 public launch is only about two weeks away.

Like any app updates, the Store tile on your Start screen will notify you when updates are available. Just open the app, and click the updates link in the top right hand corner to see the list of updates available. So far in the past week, there were updates for the SkyDrive, Bing, Photos, Mail, Calendar, People, Messaging, Weather, and Maps apps. And more are to follow in the next two weeks.
