While smart covers for Microsoft's Surface tablets were meant to be the highlight of the device's design, Microsoft is now getting more than it had bargained for, as more issues associated with the covers arise. Turns out that the problem with the unintentional audio muting is not the only one. There is another concern among Microsoft Surface users - some covers are peeling apart at their seams.

Pocketnow reported that "one user who spoke to an employee at a Microsoft store says he was told that this is far from an infrequent occurrence, and that store had seen at least two similar returns."

Despite numerous complaints, Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft, has claimed that sales of the tablet is off to a "modest" start. He also took the opportunity to talk about the upcoming Surface Pro, which powers on a new Intel processor and sports a higher definition screen.
