Windows Phone 8 has already received a number of endorsements from the likes of Nokia, HTC, and Samsung following Microsoft's launch of its latest mobile operating system in late October. Handsets bearing WP8 have also been announced for our local market, including the Windows Phone 8X by HTC as well as Nokia's Lumia 920 and 820. On that note, users who manage to get their hands on these smartphones will also be the first to experience the new Internet Explorer 10 web browser built into Windows Phone 8.

As detailed on Microsoft's Windows Phone developer blog, IE10 for Windows Phone 8 will offer some key improvements over IE9, such as advance CSS3 support for 3D transforms, independent transitions, shadows for both text and boxes, and the Web Open Font Format (WOFF). More interestingly, the Redmond firm also added some details as to how IE10 on WP8 differs from the desktop version of Windows 8. To name a few, the mobile version isn't chummy with inline video, ActiveX, VBScript, multi-track HTML5 audio, drag-and-drop APIs, and a couple more. In addition, the mobile version does not support a number of  integrated features on Windows 8 as well, and they include pinned site icons, linked previews, and support for connecting sites to apps.
