Microsoft to release two new Surface Pro tablets later this year?
Microsoft looks to be releasing two Surface Pro tablets later this year to compete with Apple and Samsung.
According to DigiTimes, sources from the upstream supply chain claim that Microsoft is preparing to launch tablets with display sizes of above 11-inches. Microsoft is reportedly working on two Surface Pro tablets, one with a 12-inch display and the other with a 13 or 14-inch display.
The two tablets should be announced at the massive hardware launch event in October which The Verge and Chinese site WPDang had reported a few days ago. Since Samsung is rumored to be developing an 18.4-inch Android tablet and Apple is widely expected to unveil a 12.9-inch iPad Pro, Microsoft does not want to feel left out with its upcoming Surface Pro tablets.
