Following the restructuring efforts in July 2015 which saw the cutting of up to 7,800 jobs in the mobile division, Microsoft is said to be planning another round of retrenchment.

According to Finnish publication Helsigin Sanomat, the cuts are targeted at the marketing unit in Finland which was set up after Microsoft acquired Nokia. No exact figure was mentioned in the report.

The cutting of jobs is yet another worrying sign that its mobile business is sinking. In its most recent report earnings, revenue contribution from the mobile division declined a whopping 49%! The future ahead for the mobile division seems bleak as its Chief Marketing Officer Chris Capossela admitted that more work is required for Windows 10 Mobile to be successful.
