Microsoft Goes After Barnes & Noble for Patent Infringement

Following its legal suits against HTC and Motorola for having Android in their products, Microsoft is back in court for another round, with Barnes & Noble in the dock for its Nook e-book reader. Microsoft seems to be strategically going after those who have few patents of their own to counter Microsoft's claims, because we haven't seen bigger fish like Samsung coming under fire yet.

All Things Digital - The actions, filed in U.S. District Court in Washington and with the U.S. International Trade Commission, charge the bookseller, Foxconn International and Inventec with infringement in conjunction with the Nook. However, Microsoft’s statement showed its target is the broader Android operating system.
