MacBook may be available for purchase at Apple Stores globally from 25 May

The new 12-inch MacBook may be hitting retail shelves in Apple Stores globally soon.

According to 9to5Mac, an internal memo sent to Apple's retail staff states that the MacBook will be available for purchase at all Apple Stores globally from the week of 25th May. The memo also informs retail staff that "limited" quantities of the notebook should be available in "select" Apple Stores in several countries such as the U.S, the U.K, Australia, China and Hong Kong.

Sales of the MacBook have been restricted to Apple's Online Store due to supply constraints. Although Apple has begun shipping orders from 10th April, stocks seem to be very limited. At time of publication, all three colors and two storage variants are estimated to ship in 3 to 5 weeks' time on Apple Online Store (Singapore).
