LiquidKeyboard Unveiled in Sydney

The LiquidKeyboard (LK) has been unveiled to the world in Sydney, Australia.

The brainchild of Sydney-based computer systems researcher Christian Sax and his colleague Hannes Lau at the University of Technology Sydney, is now implemented as a native iPad prototype.

Faster and more accurate typing with both hands is made possible with the LK as a virtual keyboard morphs around the user's fingers when he puts his hands on the touchscreen. Allowing each user's hand size, shape, and finger position to be adapted, the system senses the pressure and positioning, and an entire keyboard pops up around them in one fluid motion.

You can check out the demonstration of the keyboard here.
