Linksys introduces EA9300 AC4000 tri-band MU-MIMO router
Linksys has just launched a new router called the EA9300.
The EA9300 is an AC4000-class tri-band router that supports MU-MIMO technology. Essentially, it is a slightly slower version of last year's flagship EA9500 router.
It is powered by a new 1.8GHz quad-core processor and it supports a combined throughput of 4,000Mbps on its single 2.4GHz network and two 5GHz networks.
Maximum speed on the 2.4GHz network is 750Mbps, while maximum speed on the 5GHz network is 1,625Mbps. Add them all up and you get 4,000Mbps.
The 2.4GHz network is ideal for older devices that only support 802.11n and devices that are not performance critical.
The two 5GHz networks, on the other hand, are ideal for modern devices. And with two separate networks, more users and more devices can stay connected.
Behind the router are USB 3.0 ports, a single Gigabit Ethernet WAN port, and the usual four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports.
The Linksys EA9300 router is available now and is priced at S$399. Challenger members can get it S$388.
However, for today and tomorrow only (8 and 9 August), the EA9300 router is available on Hachi.tech at a special introductory price of S$348.
