About a month ago, we reported that LINE would be rolling out its video call service this Fall. Then, a few weeks earlier, we announced that LINE partnered with FC Barcelona and Real Madrid C.F. to launch Official Accounts and Team Stickers.
Now, the latest version of LINE (version 3.9.0) has been released globally, introducing new video functions such as Snap Movie and video call. Snap Movie, a video recording and sharing feature, lets you create 4-10 seconds of personalized video clips with your choice of background music. On top of using text and stickers, you can now share special moments via creative video messages with your friends and family around the world.
You can post your video snippets on your Home and Timeline, where they'll be automatically be played on a loop*. The video clips which have been saved on your mobile devices can be uploaded on other social networking platforms as well. There are 9 different background songs to choose from, and more music will be added soon.
With LINE's new video call feature, you can have real-time 1-on-1 video communication anywhere. This video call function is available throughout all major platforms including iPhone, Android devices, and PCs (Windows/Mac)**, and is supported over both Wi-Fi and 3G networks. You can also switch between video and voice anytime during the call.
On top of the video features, the updated LINE comes equipped with enhanced photo and video sharing system, allowing you more convenient ways to communicate with your mobile devices.
