LG's MWC 2012 Android Lineup Caught on Video

LG's MWC 2012 Android Lineup Caught on Video

You've heard about their official names and specs but have you seen them in action? Well, Italian site Telefonino stumbled upon the three handsets (LG Optimus 4X HD, Optimus 3D, Optimus Vu) and did a quick hands on with the devices.

The video above is showcasing the LG Optimus 4X HD with its new customized user interface. It is touted as the world's first official quad-core smartphone running on NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor clocked at 1.5GHz and 1GB RAM. The LG Optimus 4X HD has a large 4.7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Other specs include a whopping 2150mAh battery and a 8-megapixel camera. It is the only model out of the three to come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box.

The device seen in the second video above is the LG Optimus 3D Max. Tipped as the direct successor to the LG Optimus 3D, the Optimus 3D Max runs on a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and has dual 5-megpaixel cameras for stereoscopic imaging. The upcoming device is also comes with near field communication (NFC) support, so do expect to see LG demonstrate some of its NFC capabilities at MWC 2012 together with the LG Optimus LTE Tag, an LTE- and NFC-equipped Android smartphone. Unfortunately, the LG Optimus 3D Max ships with Android 2.3 Gingerbread but will be upgraded to Android 4.0 later this year.

Last but not least, the third video is on the LG Optimus Vu. Seen as the challenger to the 5.3-inch Samsung Galaxy Note (also featured in the video), the Optimus Vu sports a 5-inch IPS display with 1024 x 768 pixels, a Qualcomm dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 8-megapixel camera and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It has 32GB internal storage capacity and a 2080mAh battery. The LG Optimus Vu is a unique offering as it adopts a more squarish design, thanks to its 4:3 aspect ratio for the display.

LG will also be revealing another three Android smartphones which are the L3, L5 and L7. It seems that LG has no more surprises for us at MWC 2012 but we'll still be there at Barcelona if the company pulls off any last minute surprises.
