Hot on the heels of Android Wear's announcement, LG today unveiled the G Watch which is developed in close collaboration with Google.

According to LG, the G Watch will be compatible with a wide range of Android smartphones. The G Watch will present relevant information to users when they need it or whenever they say "Ok, Google" to ask questions or get things done.

The unveiling of the G Watch is a strong indication of the relationship between Google and LG; it is the fourth device after the Nexus 4, Nexus 5 and G Pad 8.3 Google Play Edition to be developed in close collaboration with Google.

At the moment, LG is unable to provide additional details on the G Watch such as the hardware specifications and pricing. Additional details will be announced in the coming months.

Tipster @evleaks shared on Twitter a few days ago that the smartwatch will sport a 1.65-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 280 x 280 pixels, runs on 512MB RAM and has 4GB internal storage space.
